A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father,
You have given Jesus all authority and power over our flesh. Lord over mind. Bring it to loving submission. Bring my being to lasting peace and joy in Christ Jesus.
May my hands now release my mornings to You. May I open my days and release my “To Dos”. May everything I have offer You praise. May I see everything as opportunity. May I embrace what You have in the new season I walk into, with a willingness to let go each season that passes. May each evening come with great rest, surrender, peace, gratitude and repentance. May each morning come with mercy, thankfulness, and surrender. May my worries and troubles be no match in my mind when I consider Your sovereignty, guidance and love. May You speak even in the noise. May I hear nothing but You, sweet little voices of my children, and tenderness from my gentle-loving husband. May that alone bring me gratitude and strength to embrace the day. May I be an outpouring of Your love because of all You have given me today. May I repeat any and all of Your words written on my heart, into my mind, and may that be louder than any and all noise around me and within me. Forgive me of my selfish desires and inability to defeat the flesh that only Jesus can. Give me grace upon grace and joy for today.
In Jesus’ name I pray and give You thanks for a change of heart.
